Building an enterprise knowledge assistant involves more than connecting a language model to a set of files. Teams need to ingest different sources, represent their contents, return useful answers, and establish a way to incorporate expert knowledge.

Some organisations want an implementation partner to handle that work. Others have an engineering team ready to extend an existing foundation. Vassist supports a conversation about either approach.

Start with a working product

Vassist brings together source integrations, answers with citations and previews, interpretation of visual knowledge, and a designated-SME feedback mechanism. Its existing integrations include Confluence, SharePoint, and Miro. Additional integrations can be developed where provider APIs support the required access.

Keep the capability inside your organisation

The application and its AI models run within the customer’s infrastructure. A perpetual licence grants the right to use and modify the source code for the organisation’s needs. It does not permit resale.

That gives a technical team the option to adapt the product over time. The right starting scope depends on its requirements, internal skills, and appetite for ongoing operation. Deployment and support services can be scoped separately.

Define the handover before the build

A useful technical discussion should cover the target environment, sources, extension needs, responsibilities, and the support required for the team taking it forward. Code access matters, but the ability to operate and understand the system matters too.

Start with one business problem and a focused set of questions. Establish what the foundation needs to do for that use case, then decide which extensions are worth building.
